Union Built PC is proud to announce the installation of a new training lab at the JATC of IBEW Local 24 in Baltimore, MD. Replacing a 6-year old lab with new equipment means the apprentices and journeymen will be able to take advantage of the online training that is being used more and more every day.
"We love this lab, and we're proud to be using a union company!" said Dave Norfolk, Director.
Another enhancement UBPC provided for this JATC is an online Hours Reporting application that allows apprentices to submit hours via web, and that data is then imported directly into NTAS. Part of our Paperless Suite that also includes online class registration and online apprentice applications, it is now also being deployed in Richmond, VA as well. This suite will save a ton of staff time, headaches, and paper.
UBPC also replaced a Microsoft server at IBEW Local 24 itself with one of our all-in-one servers based on the IBM Lotus Foundations platform, which provides firewalls, automated backups, and remote support capabilities. The JATC installed one of these servers 3 years ago and it's still going strong.
"We want to make lives easier with our technology, and we accomplish that every day," remarked Brandon Weber, Managing Partner of Union Built PC.
