Mon Valley ICD Launches New Training Center!
USW/USS Site near Pittsburgh, PA
|
Union Built PC has recently finished installation at the new Mon Valley Works training center for US Steel in partnership with USW Local 1557, USW Local 1408, USW Local 1557, and USW Local 2227.
Using state-of-the art desktop and laptop PCs from Union Built PC with special protection and recovery software, in combination with a top-end server providing antivirus, antispam, and firewall protection, the instructors and administrators can rest assured that the "bad guys" are kept out of their network. This allows them to provide critical training to the members, and keep everything functioning smoothly.
Union Built PC also provided wall-mounted 52" LCD screens for the classroom instead of projectors, as well as network-based security cameras with recording software since the facility will provide a lot of training at night.
Topping it all off was our first implementation of Wireless N at a training center, which provides blazing 300 megabit speeds wirelessly - in fact, everything including printers is now wireless.
"We've got all the tools we need to make sure our students are trained, and we know we've got the backing of a large union company like Union Built PC to make sure everything is functioning flawlessly," said Mike Ondrish, one of the Administrators at this location.
